Terms of Service

Effective date: September 1, 2026
Last updated: September 1, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Acne Evidence (acneevidence.app), provided by Saving Face Skinspa Inc., a Washington corporation, doing business as Introverted Esthi (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What these Terms cover

These Terms cover Acne Evidence only. Our other products — Ingredients Inspector (ingredientsinspector.com) and Skin Evolution Suite (skinevolutionsuite.com) — and the Introverted Esthi website, courses, wholesale, and appointments are governed by their own separate terms.

They work together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. Acne Evidence is built for licensed skincare professionals, and you confirm that you hold a current, valid licence or certification where one is required in your state or jurisdiction, and that you comply with the laws and board regulations that govern your practice. You are responsible for confirming what your own state allows.

2. What this tool does, and what it does not

Acne Evidence helps you investigate what you are seeing on a client’s skin. It returns exposures worth investigating, distribution patterns, and questions to ask, and produces a printable consultation record.

It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. It is not a medical device, and nothing it produces is medical advice. Using it creates no provider relationship between us and anyone you treat. Every clinical judgement remains yours, including deciding when a client should see a physician or dermatologist.

The knowledge base reflects one framework for investigating acne, drawn from Wendy Christman’s professional experience. It is offered as a structured way to think, not as established fact, and it can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for how you use it.

3. No guarantee of results

We do not guarantee any particular skin outcome, client result, or business outcome. What happens depends on factors we do not control — your training, your judgement, your client’s circumstances, and their willingness to change what they are exposed to. Examples shown in our materials are illustrations of what happened in a specific situation, not what you should expect.

4. Your account

Your account is personal to you. Do not share your login. Each person who uses Acne Evidence needs their own account or their own seat.

You may not sell, rent, lease, sublicense, assign, or otherwise transfer your account or access to anyone else. Unauthorised sharing may result in suspension or termination without refund.

5. Seats

Plans that include seats allow additional named people to work under one account. Each seat is one person, with their own login.

Saved Looks belong to the account, not to the seat. The account owner can see every Look in the account; a seat sees only their own work.

The account owner may add or remove seats at any time. Removing a seat ends that person’s access immediately and is not refunded. Looks that person saved remain with the account and remain available to the account owner.

6. Client information you enter

You decide what to type into the client field. We ask that you enter the least you need to recognise the record later — initials or your own reference are enough, and are what we recommend.

Where you enter client information, you confirm that you have your client’s permission and any consent your own laws and practice require. That data is yours: you remain responsible for it, and we handle it on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.

Do not enter payment card numbers, government identifiers, insurance details, or medical records. Acne Evidence is not a medical record system and must not be used as one. Your client’s treatment records remain your responsibility.

6a. 2nd Look and client photographs

On the 2nd Look plan you may submit client photographs for an independent AI review. Doing so is optional.

You must have your client’s permission before submitting a photograph of them, and you are responsible for obtaining it. We recommend keeping that consent in writing with your own records.

Photographs are deleted 30 days after the review. The review’s findings and your decisions remain part of the consultation record.

The review does not diagnose either. It reports what it observes in a photograph, it can be wrong, and where it differs from your reading that is a prompt to look again — not a correction. Your decision is what is recorded, and keeping your own reading is a complete answer. Reviews are included per seat each month as stated on the pricing page, are pooled across the account, and do not carry over between months.

7. Plans, billing and cancellation

Free accounts include three Looks. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. There are no annual contracts. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and you are responsible for any applicable taxes.

All sales are final. Subscription fees are non-refundable, including on early cancellation, downgrade, dissatisfaction, or temporary service interruption. This does not limit any rights you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then.

Before each renewal we email you what you will be charged— the actual amount, including any discount or trial — so a renewal is never a surprise.

If a payment fails, we may suspend access until it is resolved. We may change prices, and will tell you by email at least 30 days before a change affects you.

8. When a subscription ends

Your saved Looks remain available to open, read and print. Creating new Looks and editing existing ones requires an active plan.

We keep your Looks unless you ask us to delete them. If we ever discontinue Acne Evidence entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to take your records with you.

9. Intellectual property

The face map, zone definitions, lesion morphology, distribution patterns, investigation content, and the knowledge base underlying Acne Evidence are our exclusive intellectual property. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app in your own practice — nothing more.

You may not:

Copy, scrape, download, or extract the knowledge base in bulk; reverse engineer the app or attempt to derive its underlying data; resell, redistribute, or republish the content as your own; or use the content to develop, train, or improve any competing product, database, or AI model.

Reports you generate are yours to use in your practice, including with your clients. Anything you send us — questions, feedback, support messages — remains yours, and you grant us a limited licence to use it to respond to you. If you send us suggestions about the product, we may use them freely.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the app unlawfully or outside your scope of practice; represent its output as a medical diagnosis or opinion; attempt to access another account’s data; provide false licensing information; scrape, disrupt, or attempt unauthorised access to the app or its infrastructure; or use it on behalf of a brand, manufacturer, or distributor for product development or competitive analysis.

11. Third-party services

Acne Evidence relies on third parties to operate: Clerk (accounts and sign-in), Stripe (payments), Airtable (data storage), and Netlify (hosting). Your use of the app involves these providers, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. See our Privacy Policy for what each one handles.

12. Availability

We aim to keep the app running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Temporary interruptions may occur through maintenance, third-party limitations, or circumstances beyond our control. Such interruptions do not entitle you to a refund or credit. We may change, add, or retire features.

13. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that its content will be complete or current, or that it will produce any particular result. See also Sections 2 and 3.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, lost clients, or lost data, arising out of or relating to the app — even if we have been advised of the possibility.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

You acknowledge that Acne Evidence is a tool to support your practice, and that you are solely responsible for your professional decisions and client interactions.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company, Wendy Christman, and our officers and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising out of or relating to: your use of the app; the care, recommendations, and decisions you provide to your own clients; client information you enter without your client’s consent (see Section 6); your violation of these Terms; or your violation of any law or third-party right.

16. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the app, or provide false registration information, and will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so. No refund is owed on termination for breach.

Sections 2, 3, 6, 9, and 13 through 21 survive termination.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and provide notice where appropriate. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

18. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

19. Dispute resolution

Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days. Most issues can be resolved this way.

20. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding Acne Evidence. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Nothing here creates a partnership, employment, or agency relationship.
